At Uplift Healthcare, Inc., we’re committed to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals by offering hands-on learning experiences through our Externship Program.
Whether you're a medical assistant, nursing, public health, or social work student, our program provides valuable exposure to real-world, community-based care in a nonprofit setting. Interns and externs will work alongside experienced providers, assist with clinical or administrative tasks, and learn how to deliver culturally competent, patient-centered care.
What You’ll Gain:
- Experience in primary care, HIV/STI services, and preventive health
- Insight into nonprofit clinic operations
- Opportunities to shadow licensed medical providers
- Participation in mobile outreach and health education events
- HIPAA training and real-time documentation exposure
- Flexible scheduling and supportive mentorship
Who Can Apply:
We welcome students enrolled in:
- Medical Assistant programs
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) tracks
- Health Administration or Public Health programs
- Social Work, Counseling, or Case Management training
